The Civics Center Announces New Partnership with CenterLink

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with CenterLink to help young Americans get registered and ready to vote!

CenterLink is a member-based association of almost 400 LGBTQ organizations serving their local and regional communities across the United States and the aim of our collaboration is to recruit and support high school students and other young people for training in youth voter registration drives.

We both believe that long-term investment, peer-to-peer organizing, high quality education and materials, reliable data and digital infrastructure are needed to help LGBTQ youth and all youth develop civic skills and knowledge, including about voter registration.

The Civics Center will provide drive training, toolkits and tracking to various CenterLink members. Working collectively in high schools we will help The Class of 2026 get civically engaged so they’re ready to use their voices at the ballot box this November and for the rest of their lives.

Our two organizations know that regardless of where you live, how you look or who you love–young people are our future. Together we will build an on-ramp to democracy so that all of their voices are heard.

“I’m thrilled by the opportunity this collaboration presents,” said Laura Brill, Founder and CEO of The Civics Center. “CenterLink and LGBTQ centers and youth across the country bring deep ties to their communities. Working together will mean welcoming young people, building leadership, and strengthening democracy all at the same time.”

“Young people want to be heard — they just need the access to make it happen. That’s what this partnership is about,” said Denise Spivak, CEO of CenterLink. “Through this partnership, we’re bringing voter registration directly into spaces where young people already feel safe, seen, and supported. No extra steps, no barriers. Just meeting them where they are. Civic participation is one of the most powerful ways to show up for yourself and your community, and we want to make sure the next generation has every opportunity to do that.”
