Future Voter Scorecards

We developed an innovative research model using the most reliable data available: voter files, reports from election officials, and demographic data from the US Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.

Our Scorecards measure our program success, as well as illustrate disparities by region, filling a much needed gap in research.

What do they do?

  • Measure voter registration and turnout rates of 18-year-olds at the local level (school districts, cities, counties).

  • Measure rates of preregistration in states where 16- and 17-year-olds can register.

  • Publish rankings and track changes over time.
